5 Reasons Why *ROGER FEDERER* Will NOT Reach #1 Again

jeffsalzensteintennis.com Roger Federer is currently #3 in the world. I am predicting that Roger Federer will not reach the #1 spot in the world again. Roger Federer had a magnificent decade of tennis. A decade that will most likely never be matched by another player. Roger Federer has made every player on tour improve their levels of tennis to compete with him. We are now seeing the young guys coming up, who have been able to study Roger Federer and learn from his masterful tennis game. These players are taking the best of Roger Federer and improving upon it. This is why Roger Federer hasn't been as dominant in the past few years. Before Roger Federer gave up his #1 ranking to Rafael Nadal, nobody had seen a player move and hit with the grace and power he displays. Roger Federer dominated with his shotmaking, balance, and flexibility, and effortless play that was lightyears ahead of what the rest of the tour players could do. Now players have studied and learned from Roger and have adopted these key elements of his game into theirs. We can see how physical players like Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic have developed so that they can now beat Roger Federer. Roger has also started a new life with his wife and baby. He has new responsibilities that have shifted his focus at times from tennis. It has been a wonderful 10 years of watching Roger Federer dominate in the sport of tennis. Federer was a master in his craft of tennis. We thank him for all the years and elevating ...

RAFAEL NADAL | How Nadal Transitions From Clay To Grass

jeffsalzenstetintennis.com Rafael Nadal makes one key transition when he moves from the French Open to Wimbledon. Before we get into what Nadal does, I would like to say thank you to http for asking us to do this video. If you have ever watched one set during the French Open, you will notice how far Rafael Nadal stands back when returning the serve. Rafael Nadal stays back on the return of serve and uses his buggy whip forehand to generate tons of topspin to get the ball to jump up on his opponent. Rafael Nadal is the master of getting the ball to jump up on his opponents especially Federer's one handed backhand on the clay. When Rafael Nadal plays in Wimbledon, you will see Nadal stand closer to the baseline to take the return of serve. This allows Nadal to drive the ball on the grass. Rafael Nadal will still use the buggy whip except he will end shorter on the grass. While you are watching Wimbledon this year see if you can notice Rafael Nadal standing closer to the baseline on the return of serve. Once again I want to say thank you to tennisnow.com for asking us to do this video on Rafael Nadal. http

*TENNIS FOREHAND FOOTWORK* | Handle The Short Balls On The (TENNIS FOREHAND)

jeffsalzensteintennis.com During the approach shot here is a tennis forehand footwork pattern you can use instead setting your feet, hitting the shot and then moving into the net. Does that kind of movement really work for you and your tennis forehand footwork on the short balls? I am going to guess that you miss a lot of short balls and wonder how you can possibly sprint up, slow yourself down, set your feet, hit your shot and then keep sprinting up to the net. I am here to tell you that this technique for your tennis forehand footwork on the short balls flat out just doesn't work. The pros are not doing this on their tennis forehand footwork and neither should you. Take a look at Roger Federer and you will notice him using his tennis forehand footwork on short balls. He does a certain footwork pattern that involves him jumping on the tennis forehand. We call this tennis forehand footwork pattern the "lift and land." You can do this pattern on both the tennis forehand and backhand side. What you want to do is step in, hit the ball and jump up in the air. This will keep you moving forward using the proper tennis forehand footwork Moving forward will help you get to the net faster and cover the passing shot. Next time you are hitting playing tennis and get a short ball, try the lift and land tennis forehand footwork pattern. The main idea is to move through the short ball with your tennis forehand footwork instead of stopping yourself to hit the shot. Let me know how this ...

*SLICE SERVE* | Develop A Wicked (Slice Serve)

jeffsalzensteintennis.com Developing a wicked slice serve is a must for anyone who wants to take their games to the next level. You might be sitting in front of the computer right now thinking I can't serve, let alone hit a slice serve, like Jeff. It took me years to develop my slice serve. I wasn't born with a natural slice serve. One of the big keys to hitting a wicked slice serve is the finish. You want to try and curl your racquet at the end of the slice serve. Curling the racquet allows you to develop the spin needed by bringing your shoulder through on the slice serve. Also try and have your palm face your belly button at the finish of the slice serve. Next time you are on the court, try hitting a wicked slice serve by finishing and curling your racquet more. Leave a comment and let me know what you think of the slice serve. http

*SLICE BACKHAND* | Why The Traditional (Slice Backhand) Is Messing You Up

jeffsalzensteintennis.com The slice backhand is a shot that few have mastered. I am here to tell you that if you are having trouble with your slice backhand.... IT IS NOT YOUR FAULT.... It is your traditional coaching that is screwing up your slice backhand. Most traditional coaches will teach you to swing and extend out towards your target are your slice backhand. If you watch Federer, Nadal, Djokovic or any top player, you are going to see them swing across their bodies instead of out towards the target on the slice backhand. When hitting the slice backhand, try and get more of the inside of the ball. Getting inside the ball on the slice backhand will help you control the ball and keep it low against your opponent. Next time you try to hit your slice backhand, try and swing across your body and get the inside of the ball. Like always please leave your comments below and let me know how this tip works out on your slice backhand. http
