jeffsalzensteintennis.com I have had to great opportunity to coach a girl who has reached 48 in the world on the WTA. Her name is Vasilisa Bardina. She played Kim Clijsters in 2007 at the Australian Open. Here is the link to check out the match http When Vasilisa first came to me, I told her the biggest thing to change was her tennis serve. To be very blunt, she got to #48 in the world with a deficient tennis serve. She agreed to work with me on trying to change her tennis serve. It is very surprising that someone who has reached such a high level was so open and willing to change her tennis serve. The other surprising thing that happened is that she changed her tennis serve in three days. Now I know most of you are saying "well she's a pro athlete it is easy for her, I can't do that". For those of you thinking that, I want you to take a look at my last video of a kid who changed his tennis serve as well. Vasilisa spent three practice days changing her tennis serve. There was still hard work that had to be put in. If you examine Vasilisa's old tennis serve, you will see that her elbow drops in the motion of the tennis serve. Comparing Vasilisa to some of the best servers like Roger Federer and Pete Sampras, she noticed their elbows don't drop and did her best to copy what they were doing.
